Practice · Stays on this device
Practice the values conversation.
Writing down what matters to you is half of it. The other half is saying it to the person you share a life with, and hearing what matters to them.
Pick a conversation. An invented partner speaks, you answer the way you really would, and you see which needs your words met. About five minutes each.
Your words, from your map
You picked these on this device. Try working one of them into what you say. They are not sent anywhere.
No map yet?
You can practise without one. It helps to know your own words first: twelve questions, about fifteen minutes, and nothing leaves your device.
How this works, and what it cannot do
- Your partner here is scripted, not an AI. Every line was written in advance.
- A phrase-checker in your browser reads your answer. It is a mirror, not a judge, and it can miss a good answer worded differently. Each turn shows one possible response so you can judge for yourself.
- Nothing leaves your device. No audio is recorded, no model is called, nothing is sent. A note you write at the end is kept only in this browser.
- Everyone here is invented. This is practice for everyday conversations. It is not couples therapy or advice.
Choose a conversation
If a conversation with a partner does not feel safe, practice is not the answer. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is 24/7: call 1-800-799-7233 or text START to 88788 (thehotline.org). In immediate danger, call 911. If you are thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988.
